Multipath Impact on Multi-Frequency and Multi-Constellation Code Measurements from Brazilian GNSS Stations

چکیده
Although Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) positioning can achieve high accuracy in line-of-sight conditions, multipath remains a dominant source of error. Multipath occurs when the reflected signals reach receiver addition to direct ones. Different systems design impact effect, such as signal modulation and chipping rate. In context multifrequency multi-constellation scenario that we are achieving with four operational global constellations, this paper compares different GPS, GLONASS, Galileo BeiDou. For experiment, one week data from 35 Brazilian Network for Continuous Monitoring GNSS (RBMC) stations June 2021 was processed. The index estimated based on code- inus-carrier combination. first frequency each system, similar results were obtained GLONASS BeiDou (approximately 56 cm). BOC/AltBOC offers better resistance multipath, 37 cm E1 12 E5. Considering all selected stations, GPS L1 varied 38 61 cm.

متن کاملGNSS NLOS and Multipath Error Mitigation using Advanced Multi-Constellation Consistency Checking with Height Aiding
High sensitivity multi-constellation GNSS receivers can dramatically improve the satellite availability in an urban environment. However, positioning accuracy remains a challenge because of blockage, reflection and diffraction of signals by buildings. In typical urban positioning scenarios, the receiver often receives a mixture of nonline-of-sight (NLOS) signals, multipath-contaminated direct l...
متن کاملThe Impact of Satellite Time Group Delay and Inter-Frequency Differential Code Bias Corrections on Multi-GNSS Combined Positioning
We present quad-constellation (namely, GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou and Galileo) time group delay (TGD) and differential code bias (DCB) correction models to fully exploit the code observations of all the four global navigation satellite systems (GNSSs) for navigation and positioning. The relationship between TGDs and DCBs for multi-GNSS is clearly figured out, and the equivalence of TGD and DCB correc...
متن کاملAn Advanced Gnss Code Multipath Detection and Estimation Algorithm
A novel maximum likelihood-based range estimation algorithm is designed to provide robustness to multipath, which is recognized as a dominant error source in DS-CDMA based navigation systems. The detection-estimation problem is jointly solved to sequentially estimate the parameters of each individual multipath component and predict the existence of a next possible component. A comparison betwee...
متن کاملRanging the GNSS Constellation
Laser ranging is an indispensable independent tool for validating the precise orbits determined for GNSS satellites using microwave pseudorange observations since decades. SLR allowed it to identify orbit modeling issues. Including albedo radiation pressure and antenna thrust, among others, into the GPS orbit model allowed it to basically eliminate the observed SLR bias. For the first Galileo s...
